THE SEA

Oh, a life on the ocean waves. Ship ahoy! I’m an old sea dog. Shiver me timbers, Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum. Hoist the mainsail, up to the crow’s nest and off into wide blue yonder.

There’s a house of glass

It fronts on a street
of solid madrepore.

At five o’clock,
a fat golden fish
comes calling.

He brings me
a scarlet spray
of coral blossoms.
