Patagonia, 1960. A German doctor meets an Argentinean family and follows them to a town where the family will be starting a new life. Adapted from her own novel, Lucía Puenzo (XXY) ambitiously explores six months in the life of Nazi war criminal Josef Mengele, in exile in Argentina. A body-horror drama that, in dealing with human experimentation and eugenics, offers interesting insights into the lives of Indigenous people.
