Naked bodies are buffeted by water accompanied by the music Il Temporale from the opera La Cenerentola and the overture to Il Barbiere di Siviglia both by Gioacchino Rossini.
In this experimental short, master of the avant-garde Pere Portabella recreates a storm by closing in on body parts as they’re being showered with water. Rossini’s musical accompaniment contributes to the poetic, strangely dramatic atmosphere conferred to an otherwise mundane scene.
