The hype for the 69th Cannes Film Festival is starting to build, starting with last week's reveal of the 2016 festival poster. Now we know the Opening Night film of the festival: Woody Allen's Café Society, starring Jesse Eisenberg, Kristen Stewart, Blake Lively, Parker Posey and Steve Carrell. Most exciting for us is the fact that the film's cinematographer is none other than Vittorio Storaro, who shot Apocalypse Now and The Conformist.
In its announcement, the festival describes the story:
"The film tells the story of a young man who arrives in Hollywood during the 1930s hoping to work in the film industry, falls in love, and finds himself swept up in the vibrant café society that defined the spirit of the age. "
