“I’ve had long periods when I’ve been out of work for months, but this is normal. There are actors who seem to work all the time, but I don’t think you can and be any good. You’ll be bad quite a lot of the time anyway, but I think when you take something on, you’ve got to able to say to yourself, which I hope I have, that I think this is something worth doing and that I can bring something to it that’s going to be of use.”
