“I think I got more interested in being a screenwriter when [my mother] would do plays. There were times when she'd do theater over the summer and I would hang around backstage. My brother and I would sometimes sneak onto stage during the day. I would have been 9 or 10 years old. I got the idea that ''Somebody is writing all this.'' I was completely fixated on it.”
