Daily Viewing. New trailer for Béla Tarr's "The Turin Horse"

A little more than a dying lamp this time.

The first trailer was perfect and, in fact, reappears almost in its entirety at the end of this one. Still, you can understand Cinema Guild wanting to give potential audiences a bit more of a sampling of the film they'll soon be releasing than the slow extinguishing of a single lamp.

God that looks good…
My heart-felt thanks goes to Cinema Guild for making Bela Tarr’s ‘The Turin Horse’ film available to us miserable mortals . . . At the AFI premiere of the film Tarr said he hoped the audience would enjoy the film – but noted, “It’s long. . . slow. . . black and white. . . miserable. . . boring.” He then reminded us that in spite of all that, the sun was still shining. . . " and I’d add, that most of us are still alive.
