Just last week, Abbas Kiarostami's forthcoming film was being referred to on "Le buzzomètre" as The End, but the title's been changed to Like Someone in Love. Having just revised his list over the weekend, Neil Young's still giving the film best odds in the still-hypothetical race for this year's Palme d'Or at Cannes.
Our first look at Like Someone in Love — which, going by stamp in the upper left-hand corner could well be a leak — comes via Nick Newman at the Film Stage (by way of Simon Dang at the Playlist): "Referred to as a 'continuation' of last year's terrific Certified Copy, Love sees Kiarostami take his first trip to Japan, chronicling 'the unusual relationship between a student (Rin Takanashi), who works as prostitute on the side to pay for her studies, and a brilliant, elderly academic (Tadashi Okuno) who is one her clients.'"
Update, 3/27: The Playlist has three new images.
Update, 3/29: Well. "This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by Mk2 international." Too bad. Other studios and distributors know how to make a leak work to their advantage.
Update, 4/19: And the trailer's cleaned up and back online.
